Schalke 04 and Manchester United terminated deals with Gazprom and Aeroflot following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, activating morality clauses in contracts with the sponsors.

While such clauses have been around for a long time, they were more likely to have been devised by sponsors concerned their brand
