UEFA and FIFA to work with Greece on developing football in the country
PA Images | Of match-fixing and bribery allegations there have been plenty in the Greek league over the past decades, along with excessive violence orchestrated by organised groups.
The president of UEFA, accompanied by FIFA's vice president, met with the Greek president and footballing authorities earlier this week to discuss football's development in the country.
Having signed a declaration of intent to demonstrate their commitment, the parties emphasised their shared will to launch "rational and sustainable solutions" to the existing problems in Greek football.
