Tuesday briefing: Local investment group challenge US fund for Granada takeover

A Granada-based group has entered the contest for control of LaLiga 2 side Granada CF with a proposal worth around €40 million, according to IDEAL. It is negotiating alongside US investment fund Big League Advantage (BLA), who are yet to close their takeover agreement, despite signing a prelimenary agreement in early July.

Former Granada chief operating officer Javier Rodríguez is leading the bid through Granada Capital Finance, backed by Iranian businessman Koosha Aidivandi. Rodríguez
