League One side Tranmere Rovers have proposed modifying the points-per-game system, used in case the season is cancelled, by applying a margin of error to the method which would otherwise see them relegated.

It is currently unclear how the season will proceed – if at all. League Two clubs earlier this month voted to abandon the season in a yet to be ratified decision, but the fate of League One is yet to be determined.

In a statement on their website, Tranmere said they opposed the EFL's proposed framework for ending the season. The formula would see them relegated.
