Tottenham cut 550 non-playing staff wages: More clubs expected to follow suit

The club's 550 non-playing directors and employees have had their wages reduced by 20 per cent to utilise the government's coronavirus furlough scheme.

Premier League clubs are expected to follow Tottenham and Newcastle, and could even include their players as seen elsewhere in Europe.

Tottenham have at the same time published their financial report for last season, which shows their wage bill rose by 21 per cent to the sixth highest in the league.
