Swansea hires Trevor “new dimension” Birch as chairman

Trevor Birch has been officially announced as new chairman of Swansea City.

Birch wants to bring stability back to the club and the owners say he offers a “new dimension”.

The 61-year-old former footballer Trevor Birch has been announced as the new chairman of Swansea City. Birch is a chartered accountant with a background at accountancy firm Ernst & Young. He has also worked in chief executive roles at Leeds, Everton and Chelsea.
