Spanish giants overtake Manchester United as the world’s most valuable football teams

Photo: Getty Images KPMG has previously published a report that also stated Real Madrid are the most valuable football club in the world.

Real Madrid and Barcelona have overtaken Manchester United as the world’s most valuable football teams. 

Manchester United have fallen from being the second most valuable sports team to sixth in a year.  

Eight football teams are part of the top 50 most valuable professional sports teams.

Manchester United failed to qualify for the Champions League through a top four finish in the Premier League and did not win a single trophy last season. And the Red Devils’ fall from the top is not limited to sporting results. 

The club have dropped from second to sixth on the Forbes list of the most valuable sports teams in the world, their value being estimated at $3.81 billion (£3.06 billion). See the full list by following this link
