New pricing structure: Southampton have already sold more season tickets than last season

Photo: Getty Images Southampton are believed to have sold almost 20,000 season tickets already - more than they sold during the entire previous season - with around two months of sales still left. 

The Saints have already sold more season tickets for the coming season than they did all last season.

After heavy criticism, the club have made a new pricing structure reducing several ticket prices.

The Saints have been flooded by supporters wanting to buy new season tickets as well as a healthy stream of renewals since they published their new pricing structure, reports the Daily Echo.

The club are believed to have sold almost 20,000 season tickets already - more than they sold during the entire previous season - with around two months of sales still left. 

Having previously been heavily criticised by supporters for not reducing prices but merely freezing them, Saints have had a radical rethink this summer
