Roy Hodgson signs one-year contract extension

Hodgson has led Crystal Palace, currently in twelfth, to their highest points total ever at this stage of the season.

The Englishman's contract was set to run out at the end of the season but will now expire at the end of the 2020/21 campaign.

Roy Hodgson has signed a one-year contract extension with Crystal Palace, which will see the Englishman remaining at the club until the end of the 2020/21 season.

The 72-year-old's contract was set to expire at the end of the current campaign, which has seen Hodgson leading Palace to their best ever points total at this stage of the season.

Hodgson, who will be able to look back on a managerial career spanning at least 44 years, took charge of Palace, his boyhood club, in September 2017 and has so far led them to an 11th and 12th place.
