The coronavirus pandemic is deflating football's unsustainable growth bubble, according to AS Roma's chief executive, Guido Fienga, who says football has some cleaning up to do when the crisis starts to fade.

The pandemic, which has caused huge financial uncertainty for football clubs across the world, has caused some to question what has been described as an inflated market where short-term solutions are favoured over healthy business strategies.
