AS Roma have suspended sporting director Gianluca Petrachi after a fallout last week with the club's majority shareholder and president, James Pallotta.
Petrachi reportedly took issue with an interview Pallotta gave on his relationship with the club's management. Praising Petrachi's colleagues, Pallotta failed to mention the sporting director himself, leading him to send the owner a strongly worded message, according to RomaPress.
Appointed ahead of this season, Petrachi has two years remaining on his contract reported to be worth an annual €1.2 million plus bonuses.
