Brazilian players in their mid-20s have made up several of the biggest moves in this transfer window so far. A staggering total of four 25-year-old Brazilians have been sold - each for over €40 million.

A trend this summer has been for major transfers of Brazilian internationals in their mid-20s. The window opened with Richarlison’s reported €58 million move to Tottenham Hotspur from Everton, which was presumably done to alleviate major losses in Everton’s books.

Manchester City’s acquisition of Erling Haaland provoked another huge Brazilian transfer with Gabriel Jesus deciding to join Arsenal rather than competing for playing time with the Norwegian.
