Broadcast income drove a 10 per cent revenue growth for Spanish clubs last season, according to Deloitte's annual football review.

The Premier League, however, achieved the highest absolute growth among Europe's "Big five" leagues.

The coronavirus pandemic is expected to cause a £1 billion drop in revenue for clubs in the English top flight.

LaLiga last season regained its position as the second-highest revenue generating league in the world, according to Deloitte's just-published annual football review, as increased broadcast income nurtured growth.

Clubs in Spain's first division reported a growth in revenue of €300 million, a ten per cent increase to a total of €3.375 billion. A commercial growth of seven per cent also contributed to the increase, though it revealed the extent of polarisation as Barcelona accounted for 88 per cent of the increase.
