The FA face a race against time if it is to have a representative on the FIFA Council at the time of the bid contest to host the 2030 World Cup.

Greg Clarke stepped down from his roles on the UEFA Executive Committee and FIFA Council with immediate effect, giving the FA just three weeks to produce a viable candidate to replace him.
