QPR are set to confirm Mark Warburton as their new manager according to Evening Standard.

The former Brentford, Rangers and Nottingham Forest manager has been high among the potential candidates since Steve McClaren was sacked on 1st April.

Warburton has reportedly held a series of meetings with the Rangers hierarchy and is keen on the job in full understanding of the West London club's financial constraints.

John Eustace has been in caretaker charge for QPR's final seven games of the Championship season, winning two, drawing once, and losing four times, but he will remain as Warburton's assistant according to Evening Standard.

QPR have endured a difficult season after agreeing to a £42 million FFP settlement with the English Football League last season, finishing in 19th place.

In 2018 QPR suffered a loss of £37.5 million with revenue at £31.3 million.
