The Premier League has launched a dedicated discriminatory online abuse reporting system for players, managers and coaches, enabling them to immediately notify the league if they are subject to serious discriminatory abuse via social media or direct messages.

The announcement comes amid discussions over the lack of BAME (black, asian, and minority ethnic) executive leadership within football and the increasingly highlighted abuse directed towards players with minority backgrounds.
