Owner makes “major investment” to redevelop Forest-stadium

Photo: Getty Images Nottingham Forest’s Greek owner Evangelos Marinakis has announced that a “major investment” is to go ahead at The City Ground stadium.

The City Ground is to undergo a redevelopment, boosting capacity by thousands.

Upgrade, which will take over a year, fuels manager‘s ambition for Forest to rise through the ranks. Club’s owner says revamp will be a “major investment”

Nottingham Forest’s Greek owner Evangelos Marinakis has announced that a “major investment” is to go ahead at The City Ground stadium. After extensive negotiations with the local city council, an agreement for an extended lease on The City Ground has been reached.

This means the club are now able to proceed with plans to redevelop the stadium and surrounding area.
