The club's income was almost on the same level as last year, Lyon's just-released financial report for the first half of the season reveals.

In addition to that, a new events venue near their stadium should hugely increase their events revenue.

A naming rights deal being worked on is expected to further boost their commercial income.

Olympique Lyon have laid out plans targeting ambitious commercial growth by the 2023/24 season as the club step up their pursuit of a place among the European elite. 

Failing to improve their business in the first half-year of the season, as revealed in their just-released second-quarter financial report, the club have outlined plans that would see a significant increase in income from sponsors, events and ticketing.
