Match of the Week Premier League: Financial head-to-head Norwich City v Brentford

In a relegation clash, two of the Premier League’s newly-promoted-teams go head-to-head as Norwich host Brentford with both sides determined to strengthen their hopes of survival in the English top-flight. 

Brentford have had a poor start to 2022, claiming only four points from their last nine games in the league, and should Thomas Frank’s side lose on Saturday, their lead to Norwich will narrow to just four points, with Norwich having a game in hand as well

Norwich improved their bottom-line by offsetting a significant hit on revenue with player sales and wage reductions, while Brentford reduced their loss through increased broadcasting and commercial revenue, as well as high player sales and tax credits.
