Match of the Week FA Cup: Financial head-to-head Leicester City v Watford

Cup football is back on the menu in England, with the third round of the FA Cup taking place this week.

As Premier League teams enter the tournament, defending champions Leicester City host struggling Watford who have not won a game since their sensational 4-1 victory against Manchester United in November. 

Leicester versus Watford is a match that brings back memories for both teams’ fans, although with different emotions.

The ending of the Championship play-offs semi-final in 2013, which saw Watford steal the win in the most dramatic fashion, has led to this match going down in footballing folklore.  

Saturday’s matchup also means the return of Claudio Ranieri to the King Power Stadium, where he guided Leicester to their first top-flight title in club history back in 2016.
