Marseille president denies club are for sale amid rumours of takeover

Jacques-Henri Eyraud, president of the French club, on Saturday assured reporters owner Frank McCourt was not interested in selling.
French businessman Mourad Boudjellal is reportedly leading a bid to take over the club with funds from the Middle East.
The President of Olympique Marseille, Jacques-Henri Eyraud, has denied the club are for sale, according to French newspaper L'Équipe, amid rumours of a Middle East-funded takeover.
"The heart of the matter is not what I have read in the press about this umpteenth rumour of the sale of Olympique Marseille," Eyraud said at a press conference on Saturday.
"I always thank people who have an interest, including financial, for Olympique Marseille. We are not interested in the sale of Olympique Marseille."
