Manchester United recently announced their seventh consecutive year of income growth.
Yet the Old Trafford club are falling behind other European giants, and risk being overtaken by domestic counterparts.
Since Woodwards appointment in 2013 as CEO the commercial revenues have risen by 80 per cent. Their global competitors couldn’t keep pace – but in 2017/2018 something changed.
When Manchester United announced their latest round of financial results at the end of September, it confirmed much that we already knew. For all their on-field woes, the Red Devils remain a behemoth off it.
