Manchester City's chief executive speaks out after UEFA ban: "The allegations are not true"

In a statement released on the club's website, the club's chief executive, Ferran Soriano, said that City's owner has not put money into the club that has not been properly declared.

The club did cooperate with UEFA in the process, according to Soriano, despite the body saying otherwise.

"This seems to be less about justice and more about politics," Soriano said.

He also confirmed the club are going to appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
