The Premier League champions were found to have breached rules in relation to international transfer and registration of minors and will face a fine, FIFA ruled.

Manchester City have violated FIFA’s rules of international transfer and registration of minors and must pay a fine, the body’s disciplinary committee ruled on Tuesday.

The committee decided to penalise last year’s Premier League champions with a fine of 370,000 Swiss francs (£316,473), taking into account City’s acknowledgment of guilt, according to a statement released on FIFA’s website.

City breached article 19 of the FIFA Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players, among others, FIFA said in the statement.
