The US takeover of Olympique Lyon has been postponed three times, but according to several media the deal is very close to being finalised.
The only obstacle right now is that John Textor, chair of would-be Lyon-owner Eagle Football, also privately has a substantial stake in Crystal Palace, who are allegedly waiting to be transferred to the company. Eagle Football already owns stakes in Botafogo and Molenbeek.
