Referring to reasons given in court, the judge dismissed the claim from New Balance, according to the Liverpool Echo.

New Balance's appeal of the verdict has also been dismissed by the judge, who said he was not persuaded there would be a prospect of success.

New Balance's claim of contract breach against Liverpool was dismissed on Friday by a judge in the High Court, paving the way for Liverpool's new kit sponsorship with Nike.

Liverpool and New Balance, the club's current kit supplier, have been in a legal battle over the club's new kit deal with Nike, with New Balance claiming to have a clause in its contract with Liverpool that allowed the company to continue its deal if able to match any new proposed agreement.
