Leicester City's CEO honoured with a Crown appointment

Leicester City's CEO, Susan Whelan, has been appointed deputy lieutenant as recognition for her service to the local community.
Leicester City's chief executive, Susan Whelan, has been appointed deputy lieutenant (DL) of Leicestershire in honour of her service to the local community, write the club.
At a special ceremony, Whelan was one of three DLs to be commissioned under oath by the lord-lieutenant of Leicestershire, Mike Kapur OBE.
Appointed as CEO in 2011, Whelan has overseen the club's climb from the Championship to champions of the Premier League and helped the club thrive in both a sporting and commercial capacity.
