Getty Images | Analystfirma Vysyble cite Swansea City’s relegation as a good example of how some promoted clubs eventually run into a situation that Vysyble has termed "economic exhaustion" - characterised by clubs being unable to compete financially following a number of seasons in the Premier League.
The analyst company Vysyble says there is a direct correlation between economic profit and a club’s results on the pitch.
According to Vysyble, it would be possible to predict who will be relegated from the Premier League if the clubs' financials were made public before the end of the season.
Club owners are yet to fully understand the financial dynamics in football, says co-author.
