Inter and Milan agree with local council to reduce area necessary for redeveloped stadium

The Italian clubs have reduced their demand for an area of 180,000 square metres to 145,000 square metres.
The entire new area will be approximately 220,000 square metres, including a recreational and green space.
Inter and Milan have agreed with the municipality of Milan to reduce their demands for an area of 180,000 square metres necessary to redevelop their San Siro stadium to an area of 145,000 square metres.
The Italian clubs intend to transform their iconic venue to better accommodate amateur sports and entertainment events and have hired architectural design firms Populous and Manica/Sportium to aid the project.
