Photo: Getty Images Crystal Palace have the biggest relative growth in wages in the Premier League. Over their latest five accounts, their wages have increased from £45 million to £117 million - that’s more than 150 per cent. 

Analysts at offthepitch.com have assessed the five latest accounts of the 13 teams consistently in the Premier League during that period to outline the development in Premier League wages. See figures of all clubs below.

Wages have increased significantly across the Premier League - clubs such as Everton and Crystal Palace might run into trouble if they fail to increase their revenue as well. 

On the other hand, Spurs “is a classic case of doing things right” says an expert.

Premier League clubs are investing heavily in wages in order to gain success on the pitch, but for some clubs the expenses seem to be running wild without any clear results. During a five-year period (2014 to 2018), the total wages of the clubs consistently in the Premier League increased by 52 per cent, an analysis made by offthepitch.com shows. 

Of the teams contributing the most to this development, we find Crystal Palace who have the biggest relative growth.
