German prime ministers say matches behind closed doors could be possible from 9th May

However, strict precautionary measures need to be taken before matches will be allowed to take place, according to two German state prime ministers.
The potential resumption of football has been met with support from the chief executives of Bayern Munich and Dortmund.
Football in Germany could return behind closed doors as early as 9th May after two state prime ministers appeared to support its potential resumption in a video interview with German newspaper Bild.
German football has been suspended until at least 30th April due to the coronavirus pandemic, but clubs have been allowed to resume training since 5th April – provided local state and city authorities allows it.
