Garry Monk will be hoping for a long-term stay as manager

Sheffield Wednesday have announced Garry Monk as their new manager.

Throughout his career, Monk has struggled to build long-term relationships with his employers.

Sheffield Wednesday have announced Garry Monk as the club's new manager.

According to the club's statement, Monk arrives with "a wealth of experience" with over 200 games as a manager in the top tiers of English football.

Monk will be hoping he has finally found a suitable employer in Sheffield Wednesday.

The experienced manager has been struggling to build a long-term relationship with any club, averaging just 1.16 years as manager at each of his employers, which include Swansea, Leeds and Middlesbrough.
