ICC World Cup is more than double as popular as FIFA World Cup.
28.4 per cent of sports fans in India say they enjoy watching Premier League, while only 16.6 per cent are willing to pay to watch.
New research performed by Ampere Analysis has shown that football still has a lot of work to do in the world’s second most populous country.
While 90 per cent of Indian sports fans say they enjoy watching cricket, just 43 per cent feel the same way about football. Along with cricket, tennis and badminton are also more popular than football in India.
