Turnover was flat but will increase significant this season due to Premier League payments, which means the club will also be able to cover their losses.

Sheffield United's wage bill stood at almost double their turnover last season, which saw the club achieve promotion to the promised land of the English football league system, the Premier League, their just-published financial report has revealed.

In just three seasons, the club have managed to extraordinarily climb from League One to the Premier League after a 12-year hiatus, and look set to secure another year in the English top flight once the season reconvenes.
