The game might prove to be tricky one for Preston North End manager Alex Neil. The 37-year-old Englishman is Albion’s number-one choice to fill their vacant head coach seat and they are hoping to get him on the books ahead of the play-offs.

West Brom have won three of five games since firing club icon Darren Moore as manager on 9 March. James Shan has since taken over, trying to get Albion back in the Premier League.

Preston find themselves in the middle of no man’s land in 12th place, eight points behind the play-offs.
