In 2016 Leicester City performed the Premier League’s ultimate miracle, coming from nowhere to lift the title. Profits hit €107.6 million, a total that Manchester City - champions three times in the last four seasons - have never come close to matching.

Backed by the unprecedented influx of money since 2008, City have grown revenues to €545 million thanks to a combination of on field success, endorsements from Abu Dhabi affiliated companies, and an alliance of global clubs.

City’s wage bill of €401 million is one of the biggest in world football. With Real Madrid and Barcelona cutting their cloth accordingly, it may exceed both the Spanish giants for this season.
