Financial head-to-head Chelsea v Rennes

Lampard

A financial comparison reveals Rennes have some task on their hands when they face Frank Lampard's Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in their first ever Champions League group stage.

The French club's wage bill stood at €63.6 million in the 2018/19 season while Chelsea's stood at €323.9 million.

Both clubs saw their expenses exceed income in the same season but Rennes' operating loss of €21.1 million pales in comparison to Chelsea's €184 million deficit.
