Financial head-to-head Bundesliga v LaLiga

Germany and Spain kick off League A Group 4 with their first official match against each other since a World Cup semi-final in 2010 where Spain won 1-0 before beating the Netherlands in the final.

Domestically, players in the Spanish league were paid significantly better than their German rivals in the 2018/19 season where LaLiga clubs footed a collective wage bill of €2.132 billion compared to the Bundesliga's €1.7 billion.
