Getty Images | Cardiff City and Nantes had originally agreed on a €17 million deal for Emiliano Sala, who then died in a tragic plane crash in January this year while on his way from France to join his new team at the Welsh club.

On Monday, FIFA published the full text of the decision made by the FIFA Players' Status Committee on 25th September regarding the transfer of Emiliano Sala from Nantes to Cardiff.

In the verdict, FIFA said Cardiff would have 45 days to pay Nantes €6 million of Sala's transfer fee or risk being banned from registering new players for three consecutive transfer windows.
