Everton's chief executive, Denise Barrett-Baxendale, has joined the C-19 Business Pledge, a national scheme encouraging businesses to pledge to help employees, customers and communities to get through the coronavirus crisis.

With a series of nationwide restrictions to combat the virus implemented, severely limiting gatherings and business movements, many smaller companies now face existential threats due to the impact on discretionary spending.
