The EFL has announced plans for a “thorough review” of its governance structures, following a board meeting earlier this week that also confirmed the process for recruiting a new Chair and CEO of the organisation.

It follows the announcement last month that its CEO Shaun Harvey is to step down from his role at the end of a season. The body has been without a chairman since last September when Ian Lenegan stepped down citing “increasing opportunities arising out of his business interests away from EFL specific matters”.
