Media: EFL gets personal with Sheffield Wednesday's owner - could be banned from football over stadium sale

A trio of Sheffield Wednesday seniors have been charged of misconduct, alongside those levelled against the club.

The charges are believed to relate to Wednesday's sale of the Hillsborough Stadium to the club's owner, Dejphon Chansiri.

Following the sale of Sheffield Wednesday's Hillsborough Stadium to the club's owner, Dejphon Chansiri, the EFL is now not only targeting Sheffield Wednesday, but also a trio of club seniors, who have been charged individually of misconduct.

According to the Telegraph, the charges against Chansiri, along with the club's finance director, John Redgate, and the former CEO, Katrien Meire, are believed to relate to the stadium sale.

If found guilty, they could be banned from football, the Telegraph writes.
