EFL announces new chairman designate

The EFL has announced that Rick Parry has been named as chairman designate of the EFL board.

In order for Parry to take up the position, the EFL clubs will have to endorse him on 26th September.

Debbie Jevans will resume her previous role.

The EFL has announced that Rick Parry has been named as chairman designate of the EFL board. The board's recommendation will be presented to the EFL clubs on 26th September and will be put forward for formal ratification at a general meeting, if endorsed by the clubs.

Parry is set to be the permanent successor to Ian Lenagan, who stepped down as EFL chairman in September last year.
