Derby County confident of Henry Gabay acquiring majority stake in club

Derby County is taking seriously an approach from banker Henry Gabay, with insiders at Pride Park Stadium this evening saying:

"There’s every possibility this deal will happen."

A source at the club confirmed that talks were for a majority stake in the club, an insider said the size of the stake "would certainly be well over 50 per cent." 

Mel Morris, owner of the Midlands club is expected to continue as chairman of the club, given that he is committed to ensuring the success of the club.
