Correction: Analysis about ownership of Sunderland AFC

On Tuesday we published a piece about the ownership of Sunderland AFC. The article was labelled: “Analysis: Owner claimed it was "the most professional League One club there has ever been” - this is how it all went wrong for Stewart Donald"

Offthepitch.com has removed the article due to a number of reasons. First and foremost, it was not an analysis article, it was a Column/Opinion piece. We should have labelled this point very clearly - which unfortunately we didn’t.

Some facts were inaccurate in the article and also some things were taken out of context.
