Regulator would have power to stop takeovers at early stage and owners in breach of rules.

Earlier today it was reported that owner and management at Sheffield Wednesday have been charged individually of misconduct. Now former DCMS Committee chair calls for Parliament to set up tougher regulatory body.

Collins attacks EFL over perceived failure to act effectively over collapse of Bury.
