Leagues and clubs are left with four options in terms of how the season should finish. Each and one of them carry a few negative consequences – but one solution stands out as the preferred one.

One thing is crucial if as many clubs as possible should survive this current crisis: Start generating revenue as soon as possible.

Leaders in the industry would have to pay attention to the possible changes in future behaviour of fans due to the “new world” they have faced during the Corona-crisis. And those changes could mean declining turnover.
