The chief executive of Lagardère Sports and Entertainment, Andrew Georgiou, has chosen to leave his role for a new job.

Georgiou will be starting a new role at Discovery.

Lagardère Sports and Entertainment’s chief executive, Andrew Georgiou, is to leave the agency to take up a newly created senior management role at Discovery Inc.

He will be tasked with driving the growth of the pan-European broadcaster as well as co-ordinating sports rights acquisitions for the broader Discovery group.
