Brighton & Hove Albion's huge new stadium naming rights and shirt sponsorship deal with American Express has been designed to boost the club's ambitions to become a top-ten club.

Neither Brighton nor American Express have confirmed the value of the deal, but industry sources believe the deal is worth more than £100 million over 12 years - the equivalent of at least £8.5 million per year.
