Barnsley commit to "a ruthless attitude to any acts of racism"

Barnsley have more arrests for racism in South Yorkshire than any other club.
The club are happy to see other fans speak out and report racist incidents to them.
In a statement on the club’s website, Barnsley have acknowledged the report from the Home Office media regarding football-related arrests, where Barnsley stood out negatively.
In the South Yorkshire region, the police arrested ten Barnsley fans during the 2014/15 to 2017/18 seasons. In comparison, 27 people were arrested with racism as an aggravating factor at Manchester United matches over the same period.
